Ken Dattmore of Yamaha introduced the company’s latest electric violin at the 2017 Winter NAMM show: the YSV-104 silent violin.

The instrument has a similar build and feel to Yamaha’s other silent violins, but the YSV-104 comes with a black box that has sound technology that simulates the sound of an acoustic violin in the player’s ears.
