In 2015, violinist Michelle Ross performed at Eleventh Street Arts, a gallery for contemporary art in New York that also hosts chamber-music performances, and unexpectedly won herself a job. Her performance of the complete solo Bach cycle, including her first experience improvising in public, inspired the venue’s new chamber series Chamber Music @ Eleventh Street Arts, which Ross was then asked to curate as resident artist. The first concert is set to launch the series on October 27, with a string-trio arrangement of Bach’s Goldberg Variations to be followed by Maurice Ravel’s Piano Trio.
