2016 has been a rather remarkable year for the Calidore String Quartet. After being awarded the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship (the first North American ensemble to receive this career grant), the first inaugural M-Prize (and its $100,000 purse), and landing a plum three-year residency with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Two (after its powerhouse residency at Stony Brook University with the Emerson Quartet), the Calidores have now been chosen as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists.
