With the 1714 ‘Joachim-Ma’ Strad in tow, violinist Alexi Kenney stopped by the Strings studio to perform Baroque-era music.

The recent Avery Fisher Award Career Grant winner owns a Greiner violin at home, but was loaned the Joachim-Ma by the New England Conservatory. Kenney performed Nicola Matteis’ ‘Fantasia in C minor,’ and Johann Paul von Westhoff’s ‘Suite No. 2 in A major.’
