I’m going to throw a few numbers at you.

  • 1 billion YouTube views
  • Ranked #4 on Forbes’ 2015 list of “YouTube Millionaires”
  • 7.8 million YouTube subscribers (more than Justin Timberlake)
  • 2nd album ranked #2 on Billboard’s Top 200

Given the title of this post, you already know I’m talking about violinist, author, and entrepreneur Lindsey Stirling. But these stats offer a sense of the astounding scope of her career. And it continues: She posted a video yesterday— “Arena,” a cinematic, steampunk fantasia with Derek Hough’s skilled dancing complementing Stirling’s own signature style—that garnered more than a million views already.

On August 19, Stirling is poised to release her third album Brave Enough, through her own label, Lindseystomp Records. Collaborators are drawn from a variety of genres, including Christina Perri, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, Dan + Shay, Lecrae, and others. The album release will be accompanied by a summer tour that kicks off in Connecticut on July 11.
