Enjoy some inspiration, courtesy of the New York Youth Symphony. These young musicians, ages 12ā€“22, are from throughout the New York region and had to cancel their spring concert at Carnegie Hall due to coronavirus concerns. Undeterred, the 71-member orchestra, under the direction Michael Repper, decided to get together virtually from home isolation and perform this movement from Mahler’s Symphony No. 1. The video was edited by 18-year-old NYYS violinist Raina Tung.
