Keep Connected: Virtual Benefit Concert Kicks Off New Classical Streaming Service

As postponements and cancellations sweep the performing-arts community, a new model is springing up to help alleviate some of the financial stress the coronavirus pandemic has caused musicians. is launching Saturday with a special benefit concert, featuring violinist Rachel Barton Pine, pianists Emanuel Ax and Jon Kimura Parker, mezzo J’Nai Bridges, clarinetist Anthony McGill, and harpist Bridget Kibbey. Tickets for the benefit, starting at $5, are available at, and all proceeds will go to the Artist Relief Tree.


Performances on the new online channel thereafter will be ticketed events allowing artists and presenters to continue their paid work on a virtual stage.
